How our containers behave in daily use

The 60 ml glass jar holding our Nourishing Moisturising Cream sits solidly on a shelf. It has enough weight that it will not slide when you unscrew the wide lid with one hand and take a small dab with two fingers. Glass does not buckle or warp in warm rooms, though it belongs on a steady surface rather than rolling loose in a travel bag where it might knock against hard items.

Our 200 ml micellar water comes in a tinted glass bottle designed to keep shelf light away from the olive leaf extract, aloe vera, and spirulina inside. The dark color shields the liquid from bright daylight on an open sill. The cap threads down tight, so tipping it onto a cotton pad leaves no drips down the neck, though the full bottle is too heavy for an airport bag and stays home by the basin.

A 30 ml repair oil requires a different measure entirely, which is why we set it with a glass dropper. A dropper lets you draw three or four drops at a time for your face, hair ends, or dry patches on your body without pouring too much from the neck. You can close the rubber bulb down completely, which keeps the argan, chia, and olive oils sealed against air and avoids greasy threads on the bottle exterior.

For the antiox hand cream, we chose a pliable tube that travels flat inside a pocket, bag, or glove compartment. It does not carry the weight of glass, and squeezing from the bottom lets you dispense small amounts around your fingers without exposing the rest of the cream to the air. You can press the air out, roll the tail end as it empties, and pack it into tight spaces without worrying about chips or shattered corners.

Metal tins protect the Natural Moisturising Lip Balm from daily wear that can ruin a twist tube. A plastic stick can snap, melt along the inner wall, or twist itself up inside a warm coat pocket, whereas a 15 g screw-top or press tin takes the rough friction of pocket keys and coins without opening. You use a clean fingertip to work the surface of the beeswax, shea butter, and cocoa butter, softening the top layer directly with your own body warmth.

We offer this tin singly and in packs of three because a pocket tin tends to migrate. Many people keep one tin on the nightstand, put a second in a work coat, and leave a third in a desk drawer or car compartment. Having three identical tins avoids the need to remember which pocket you left it in before heading out for the day.
